The Gas Pipeline Project Office was dissolved on May 9, 2014 due to the transition of state efforts under the Alaska Gasline Inducement Act (AS 43.90) to the Alaska LNG Project. This website became static on June 10, 2014 and will be viewable for reference purposes through August 31, 2014. If you have any questions, please contact the DNR Commissioner’s Office at 907-269-8431.

The Gas Pipeline Project Office (GPPO) facilitates permitting for an Alaska natural gas pipeline under AS 43.90, coordinates action by multiple state agencies to ensure prioritization of a natural gas pipeline project, and monitors and ensures compliance of the licensee, TransCanada Alaska, under the Alaska Gasline Inducement Act (AGIA).  Currently our efforts are focused on TransCanada, ExxonMobil, BP and ConocoPhilips as these companies evaluate the prospects for an Alaska LNG export project. These aligned companies are evaluating this project as the Alaska LNG Project.
